 Healthy Connection Wellness Center consists of four treatment rooms, an X-ray room, a large physical therapy room and rehabilitation room.

 Healthy Connection Wellness Center specializes in treatment of sports related injuries, back pain, neck pain, joint pain, sciatica, headaches and migraines, Carpal Tunnel, arthritis, allergies, female health issues and much more.  We also offer physical therapy, rehab, massage therapy, diet and nutrition counseling, custom-made orthotics and vitamin counseling.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

• MEET THE DOCTORS

 

 

1. Dr. Vida I. Puodziunas–

Dr. Vida I. Puodziunas is the Chiropractic physician for Healthy Connection Wellness Center.  She has a bachelor’s degree from George Mason University and a Masters degree from Illinois State University.  Both degrees are in Physical Education with a specialization in Athletic Training.  Dr. Vida Puodziunas is a Certified Athletic Trainer and has worked with various high school and college athletes in a clinical and sports related setting for over 10 years. 

Dr. Vida Puodziunas graduated from National University of Health Sciences (National College of Chiropractic) as a Chiropractic Physician.  The university is located in Lombard, Illinois and is considered the leading Chiropractic school in the country.  Due to her extensive knowledge in sports and sports related injuries, Dr. Vida Puodziunas emphasizes fitness, sports, nutrition, diet and health education for overall well being.  In addition to chiropractic techniques, Dr. Vida emphasizes the importance of muscle testing and applied kinesiology, which correct muscle imbalances that occur from injury, stress or overexertion.  She is also trained in Acupuncture, B.E.S.T., Neuro Emotional Technique, Thompson and Diversified techniques.

  

  

 Dr. Ryan Dorough–

Dr. Ryan Dorough is one of the treating physicians at Healthy Connection Wellness Center. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in human biology from Michigan State University, and then graduated from National University of Health Sciences with a chiropractic doctorate. He is a family guy who loves spending time outdoors with his wife and pets.

Dr. Ryan strongly believes in natural medicine and an organic way of life, and his goal is to prevent the use of drugs and surgery for his patients and family. He has seen the power of a chiropractic adjustment accompanied by physical rehabilitation work wonders with musculoskeletal ailments. He also believes that many of the diseases prevalent in today’s society are due to the standard american diet (sugars, processed foods, GMO’s, etc…), overuse and dependency of perscription drugs, lack of proper sunlight exposure, vaccinations and lack of physical activity. Dr. Ryan believes in incorporating patient education into his treatment plan because these factors are starting to take a toll on our health. Our goal here at Healthy Connection is to treat each patient using a whole body approach by addressing their chief complaint and also aiding in lifestlye modification.Â
